What are your interests within Chiropractic?
I am driven to help each individual patient optimise their health. Whatever the patient’s goals – whether that’s to be free of pain while at work and in everyday activities, a check over before starting a health push to be more active, a return to sport following injury etc., I work with them providing the unique care they need. This is achieved by combining traditional chiropractic ‘hands-on’ treatment with modern exercise prescription and a review of the patient’s lifestyle.
What are your hobbies?
Triathlon and my springer spaniel Joss! I have been a competitive triathlete for 21 years competing in all distances from sprint to Ironman. I occasionally sneak onto the podium, with notable results including 3rd in age-group at the European championships, 3rd in my thus far only ironman distance race and a win at the ‘World’s Toughest Half Ironman’ as well as representing Great Britain as an amateur. Having said that, Joss, my not quite 2-year-old liver and white springer spaniel puts me to shame with his athleticism! We’re probably pretty evenly matched in the swim, I reckon I could take him on the bike, but he’d leave for me for dust on the run!!
Tell us something we may not know about you?
I grew up in Leicestershire, and despite the vast array of wonderful cheeses out there, my favourite is…. you guessed it, Red Leicester!
Any little-known facts?
I was privileged to be selected as a Games Maker at the London 2012 Olympics.
